WIKUS presents for the first time band saw blade for wood cutting
WIKUS, Europe’s largest band saw blade manufacturer, is launching its first bi-metal precision band saw blade for woodworking. This innovative sawing tool, which has been developed and produced in Germany, is used in sawmills and wood processing companies all over the world.
The WIKUS-Sägenfabrik Wilhelm H. Kullmann GmbH & Co GmbH & Co. KG launches the new GENERO® precision bi-metal band saw blade for wood cutting. This robust sawing tool is suitable for both mobile and stationary sawmills and can be used on smaller log band saws and band resaws. Among other things, it enables logs to be sawn efficiently – even if foreign objects such as dirt or metal are present.
“With our state-of-the-art production facilities, we can manufacture not only products for metal cutting but also precision tools for woodworking,” explains Falko Klein, Business Development Manager at WIKUS. “Thanks to the saw teeth made of hardened high-speed steel, the band saw blade specially developed for timber and forestry operations can handle even hard types of wood with a high tannic acid and moisture content as well as wood with soiled bark or metal inclusions. Customers benefit in particular from our many years of experience in the metal industry.
